Laquerlicious Polish Swatches and Review

Happy New Year's Eve readers!

Do you all have fun plans to ring in the new year? I wish I could say I did...I always want an excuse to get all dressed up and go on glitter overload with my makeup. haha I think it will be a quiet night at home with some fondue, which is fun. :)

So I've got an indie shop to share with you today called Lacquerlicious. I really love what I have been able to try out and I think you guys will be impressed as well!

First up is Disgruntled Elf. I think it's safe to say that this is my favorite of the 4 I was sent for review. I layered one coat over Essie Navigate Her. Looks just like a frosted sugar cookie with sprinkles! I wore this as a full mani for a couple of days and got so many compliments!

Next is Rainbow Sugar. I think this name is perfect for what this looks like! I layered one coat over China Glaze Sweet Hook. Check out the tiny shimmer in the base! Love this one.

This is Stained Glass. I know I keep saying this, but I am loving this one as well! The combo of glitters is pretty awesome and definitely brings to mind a stained glass window. I layered one coat over OPI Fly.

And finally, here is Mocha Sprinkles. I layered one coat over Zoya Areej. My camera kinda spazzed out trying to capture this, so I don't think I did Mocha Sprinkles justice. You can tell from my close up that this is a pretty original combination of glitters!

So that's it!

Have you heard of Laquerlicious before? What are your faves out of the ones I showed you today?

Laquerlicious can be purchased on Etsy and followed on Facebook. Be sure to check it out, you won't be disappointed!

Winter Fail Manis :)

Good evening everyone!

This post is a bit out of my comfort zone...manis I'm not so proud of. haha I broke a nail and so some of these pics leave the pinky out... and that doesn't look very good. The photography is not my personal best either. But I can't stand not posting what I took time to paint and take pics of, so here they are anyway!

This is Kleancolor Winter Wonderland. I have to say that I think this is one of my favorite Kleancolors. I love the combo of colored glitters in the fleck-y base. This photo doesn't do it justice.

Next is Lush Lacquer's Snow Angel. This is so pretty and could work for a topper any time of the year. I layered this over OPI The Spy Who Loved Me. Perfect for Christmas, I think!

And finally, this is China Glaze Winter Holly (LOVE this glitter!) with an accent nail of OPI Goldeneye (SUPER sparkly!) with an argyle design stamped on top. You can't tell me this 3 finger thing isn't weird...it's throwing me off just looking at it! haha

Alright, so now you know that I am not perfect (although I strive for it when it comes to this blog!). haha But I liked the manis enough to share. Thanks for loving me even when I post weirdness like tonight! :)

Jindie Nails Winter Chic Collection Swatches and Review!

Hey lovely readers!

I think it's safe to say the holiday season is in full swing. I've got a few loose ends to wrap up with my gift shopping and I am just gonna sit back, relax, and have fun with my family after that!

I've got another amazing collection from Jindie Nails to share with you guys today! This one is called Winter Chic and let me tell you - you guys are in for a treat! Let's check it out!

Burrberry is fabulous! I layered 2 easy coats over Milani White on the Spot (which is a fantastic white creme by the way!).

Next, is Strawberry Cupcake. A girly girl's dream! I layered 2 coats over OPI Pink Friday. Also, check out the super  pretty blue shimmer in this!

Dream in Color is super fun. I layered a coat over Sinful Colors Black on Black. It applies a little patchy so it takes some skill to achieve an even coat. This can also be full coverage in 3 coats.

Yule Love This has dots! And yes, I do love this. ;) Remember when it was a big deal for a polish to have squares in it? I think dots are the new squares. The subtle difference from hex glitters makes an impact for sure. I layered 2 coats over Milani White on the Spot.

This is Honey Blue Blue. This is one coat over Orly Frisky.  I think this would be so cute with some snowflake nail art!

Here is Barbies Have More Fun. I used Milani White on the Spot again with 2 coats of BHMF.  Very cute!

And finally, we have Battle Royale. This is one coat over China Glaze Ride the Wave. The formula was awesome for this...one coat and all the glitter dispersed evenly!

And for a quick recap:

So there you have it! Which ones are you eyeing? Or maybe you already have some of these?

Jindie Nail's shop is currently on vacation to catch up on orders, so be sure to follow her on Facebook to know when she is planning to open back up!

New Shimmer Polish Swatches!

Hello my lovely readers!

I'm back from a bit of sporadic posting during the holiday weekend but I've got lots to show you coming up so I should be around for a while!

I'm sure most of you have heard of Shimmer polish, an indie brand. I have previously featured this brand quite a few times now and haven't been disappointed yet! This next group I am about to show you is no exception. So let's get right to it!

This is one coat of Elsa over Dr.'s Remedy Bold Baby Blue. 3 coats would definitely give you a full coverage look.

Next, is Sonia. One coat over Orly Buried Alive. This one is my favorite of this group because of the iridescent glitters in it. They really add something to this already pretty polish!

Jasmine is a fun one. I believe this is 2 coats over OPI Fly. Love the coverage this gets in only 2 coats!

Here is Fanny layered over Zoya Rory in one coat. I love pink, so this is an automatic fave for me!

And finally, we have Jenny. I know I keep saying this, but I love this one! It looks amazing here over China Glaze Blue Year's Eve. What a fun combo of glitters!

What are your favorites of this bunch?

I previously featured Shimmer *here*, *here*, *here* AND *here* haha. So check those links for even more swatches!

You can shop Shimmer's Etsy shop *here* and on their blog *here* and like them on Facebook *here*!

Pastel/Metallic Nail Art

Good morning! Hope you all had an awesome weekend! I got to go to see The Fray and Kelly Clarkson concert on Saturday and it was SO good!

So I got the idea for this nail art look from Nail Stories a while back. She has got an awesome blog with great pictures and fun nail art. I loved the look of metallic with the pastel dots...it's so simple but definitely makes a statement!

Another reason I like this look is that all it takes is a dotting tool! Here are the colors I used: Orly Lemonade, OPI Pink Friday, China Glaze Peachy Keen and Sweet Hook. The base is a metallic silver from LA Colors that I got from the Dollar Store. This has a great metallic formula!

So, do you guys like this design?

Six New Jordana Glitters Specialty Nail Polish Swatches

Hi readers!

It's been a while since I have had a swatch post for you guys! Today I am showing you the latest polishes from Jordana in their semi new glitter line. After all the indie glitters I have been into lately these seem more simple to look at, but I still think these are worth looking into to add to your collection.

First up is Outer Space. I layered this in one coat over Orly Au Champagne. This is my favorite out of the 6 because it's unexpected. This has medium gold and magenta glitters and fine blue glitter. This formula was great to work with.

Next is Cosmic, which looks to be a dupe or very similar to DL Across the Universe. I'm all for not having to pay $18 for one polish! This is so pretty. All the blues and greens are right up my alley and the navy jelly base is to die for! I believe this is 2 coats.

Red Flash is a mix sized red glitter in a clear base. I used one coat layered over Color Club Wild Orchid. This could be full coverage with some underwear and 2 coats. Really good formula on this as well.

Confetti is one size of magenta glitters. This polish is packed with these suckers! I bet I could have gotten full (or close to it) coverage in about 2 coats. This reminds me of the Jewel FX line from Milani (Jordana and Milani are sister companies and have a few dupes between them). I layered Confetti with Orly Oh Cabana Boy.

Next, is Galaxy. This is is the gunmetal grey version of Red Flash. Here I did 3 coats, but you can tell that it's on the sheer side. To get full coverage you would definitely want some underwear, but you can also do 1 coat just as a topper as well. I like that most of these glitters are versatile that way.

Finally, here is Purple Party. This is predominantly pinky purple glitter with  rainbow glitters throughout. All of these are super fine. This one reminds me a lot of OPI Show It and Glow It which has been a lemming of mine for a while. Although they aren't exact dupes, I can say I don't need the OPI now that I have this one! Yay!

So there you have it! I know you guys have probably seen these before now, but I still wanted to put them out there. These are $2.99 on Jordana's website. Cherry Culture also carries Jordana, but it doesn't look like they have these newer glitters yet. I have also seen Jordana at Kmart, so you have some options!

I would love to know your thoughts on these!
