My New Year's Mani!

Happy New Year to you all!

I hope you had a fun night ringing it in! I had so much fun coming up with what I would wear on my nails for New Year's Eve. I didn't use any untrieds and I didn't have to do any swatching- I just decided to enjoy what I already had in my stash. I don't do that enough...there are always so many enticing new polishes coming out but it was sort of refreshing. ;)

So I had probably 15 different polishes that I wanted to use but realized that wouldn't be very practical so I settled on 4. :) I knew I wanted a ton of bling, so I didn't hold back on the glitter! Not that I usually do anyway, but I was definitely glad for the peel off base coat for this one. haha I used the flash to bring the holo out...it's been a dark and dreary few days around my area so no sunlight, unfortunately.

What I used: Sinful Colors Black on Black, Layla Hologram in Flash Black, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear In the Spotlight, and Essence Hello Holo. Dustin did some stamping with the Layla Holo but it's sort of subtle. I actually think it adds a fun detail to the overall look though.

I used a coat of Gelous before my normal topcoat and it smoothed this out perfectly, especially for how much glitter I had going on!

I don't normally go so crazy on the glitter and bling, but I have to say, I love it! I am such a typical girl. ;)

What are your thoughts on this mani? Perfect for NYE or too much glitter?

Neener Neener Nails Swatches and Review

Hey!

Can you believe it's the 1st of December already?! I sure can't...time goes by so quickly anymore!

So today I have a newer indie brand to share with you today called Neener Neener Nails. Have you heard of them yet?

Look at how cute your order will arrive:

First up, is Silver Bullet. I wish I would have been able to capture this one better! There are periwinkle and silver glitters in this one. I layered one coat over Noble Navy from Dr.'s Remedy.

Here is Sparkles. I like this one...very versatile and can go over anything! I layered one coat over Sally Hansen Insta Dri Lickety Split Lime.

Sexy Bish is another versatile one...I love me some gold holo glitter! I layered one coat over Color Club Jewel of a Girl.

Snow Confetti is fabulous! I was amazed at how great the formula was with this polish! I did 2 easy, non- streaky coats to get full coverage.

And finally, here is XOXOXO. I dabbed and fished the hearts on but I think that's a given with shapes. Plus I think the overall look is worth it...so cute! I layered XOXOXO over Color Club Poptastic.

You can find Neener Neener Nails on Etsy *here* and Facebook *here*. And they are offering free shipping this weekend! Just use code SHIPFREE.

My Thanksgiving Mani!

Good morning!

Just a quick post to show you what I wore on my nails for Thanksgiving. A little late but that's ok! :) I did this mani sitting on the couch with my 2 year old jumping all over the place so that said, I'm quite happy with how the whole thing turned out. haha

I did a sponging gradient with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Bronze Ablaze and Quick Brick and topped it off with Autumn Harvest from Hit Polish. My accent nail is a feather...I should have doubled up on topcoat because it's looking a little dull.

Overall, I think it looks cute. :)

Different Dimension Part II Swatches

Happy Friday guys!

I've got the second part to the Different Dimension post from Wednesday for you today. Get ready for more glittery goodness!

On Wednesdays We Wear PINK is a fun one! Although, I'm not sure where that random purple glitter on my middle finger came from. haha I layered one easy coat over Color Club Yum Gum.

Rainbows and Butterflies is so whimsical with it's butterfly shaped glitter. This is 2 coats over Revlon Aloof.

I can't stop looking this macro! So pretty!

This is Selene. The shimmer in this is to die for. I did one coat over Zoya Monica, but this could go over literally anything...love that versatility!

Next is Hanna. This can be a full coverage glitter in 3 coats. Here though, I decided to layer one coat over Sally Hansen Ruby Rush.

One of my favorite combos...here is 2 coats of Gumdrops over Sweet Polish from Born Pretty. I love how awesome the 2 look together!

And finally, this is Rock, Paper, Scissor, Lizard, Spock. I layered one coat over Orly Frisky. I like the mixture of matte and metallic glitters this one has.

Here are the bottle shots of all the pretties I have shown you this week...a little something for everyone, I think!

And an overview of the swatches...you can find more about the other half in this post.

Different Dimension can be purchased on Etsy. And to be in the know on all things Different Dimension, like the Facebook page

Kleancolor Chunky Holo Black

Good morning readers!

I have been a lot more in to layering than nail art lately, I hope you guys do mind!

I recently got a bottle of Kleancolor's Chunky Holo Black. This is an awesome polish for an instant wow factor mani when you don't have a lot of time. This polish has a dark-ish base with multi sized color shifting glitters throughout. As you can see in my pics, they go from green to yellow to orange with a few colors in between if you are really looking. I am pretty sure I put 1 coat over Sally Hansen Insta Dri Grape Escape.

I think I captured most of the colors you see in this pretty glitter. It's one of those manis that you can't stop looking at!

Pahlish Dark Parades

Good morning and happy Friday everyone!

I recently got in on a group order for Pahlish and Dark Parades is one I picked up from that. I have been procrastinating wearing it because of the inevitable glitter removal, but it really wasn't so bad! Dark Parades has a darker tinted base, so I layered one coat over Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Tealy Fast for this mani.

I like this take that Shannon has on the rainbow glitters that we see a lot in indies. Very fun!

Have you tried Pahlish before? Any favorites?

Another Snowflake Mani

Snowflake nail art seems to be one of the more popular looks this year after reading blogs this month. I can see why, because they are super cute! This is probably the third time I have shown them to you here.

This version is China Glaze Blue Year's Eve, Kleancolor Pastel Teal and Sally Hansen Glass Slipper. The snowflake stamps come from our shop! Have you done a snowflake mani this season?

Have a good one and thanks or stopping by!

CND Asphalt

Hey ya'll! Hope your Monday is going great...as great as a Monday can be anyway. hehe

I have another CND polish for ya today. My husband, who perfectly painted this mani, said he was very impressed with this polish and it's formula. That is saying a lot coming from the perfectionist he is! This polish is pretty much a one coater...always a huge plus! And as with CND Gold Chrome, this polish dried super fast. I would say within 10 minutes it was totally dry.

I think Asphalt is a gorgeous shade of grey. Although I don't normally gravitate toward dark colors as often, I really love this one.

Of course I couldn't just leave this alone...I recently bought a Sally Hansen Color Quick Pen in Fuchsia Chrome on clearance at Target. The Chrome pens are amaZing for stamping...I highly recommend them! Here is something else that I used a chrome pen with in a previous mani. So that's what the stamping color is and then the plates used are BM 19 and Born Pretty plate 59. I had a freak out when I saw how beautifully it all came together. I am a girly girl through and through so I looove these designs! :)

Anyways, that's it for now. Hope you enjoyed this mani! <3
