Ozotic reswatch spam - 621, 623 & 624

Today I have some reswatch spam of undoubtedly three of the most spectacular polishes from the Ozotic 600 series.

621 -  rich yellow leaning red large particle scattered holo.  This is my go to shade for Christmas nails.  And let me tell you now, I'm going to be partnering this with Kryptonite for some festive cheer later this year! They are a match made in heaven!

623 - Black large particle scattered holo.  Last time I swatched this I directed quite a bit of hate at it. I was disappointed with it, in fact I made it look terrible. This time around I absolutely loved it.  It is sparkly and glowy.  Maybe the formula in the square bottles has been tweaked compared to my older round bottle version.  Whatever the reason, I apologize to this polish and take back all my previous hate. I now love you 623.

624 - bright and regal purple large particle scattered holo. This one is a well deserved popular polish.  I can't wait to get Picture Polish Attitude from their Collaboration Collection to compare it to this given they are both purple polishes with the same holo particles. While they are both purple, I think Attitude will be darker and blue.  Stay tuned for that.

Have you guys seen the sneak peak of the new Ozotic 900 polish on the Picture Polish Facebook page?  Sugar, Beam and Reflection are the other hints they gave us about the new collection.  I'm super excited to see them. How about you?

Finally... a Christmas mani

I told you yesterday I had a work Christmas lunch do/afternoon thingo and I had to do some sort of festive Christmas nails.  I was hoping to do something with the new Picture Polish Festival flakie, but it didn't arrive in the post until just a few hours ago.  So instead I picked traditional red and green.

I used Ozotic 518 as the red base and stamped with snowflakes from Konad plate M59, in white special polish.  On the ring finger accent nail I painted a plain white nail and placed a Christmas tree water decal from a pack of "Fing'rs Holiday Nail Art Decals".  The only thing I might have done different was put a holo top coat on the white before putting the decal on.

I chose to do the snowflakes because we are having the coldest start to summer in south east Australia in something like 50 years.  Not that there is any chance of snow cause it's still around 23 degrees, but when it should be 33 it's kinda strange.

I'm really going to try and push for as many Christmas mani's as I can muster in the remaining few days before Christmas, but it's hard because when you create something you love, it's so hard to take it off.  I will probably still have this on on Saturday.

Ozotic 527

I mentioned this polish yesterday, when I commented about how spectacular these Ozotic holographic nail polishes are, except so far for one - and this is it.  Ozotic 527 is a very sheer pale pink.

It is listed on the piCtute pOlish website with all the other Ozotic holographic polishes, but seriously, if you buy this thinking it will be anything like the other polishes in the 500 series you will be sorely disappointed.  And it's not just my bottle either, I had a comment from a lovely follower Kristine who thought her bottle might be a dud, but nope, they are all duds are far as I'm concerned.

.

Here is a macro to show just how little holographic pigment there is in this polish.

This was three coats, with a Seche Vite top coat.

This polish might make a nice change to a regular sheer pink if you were doing a french polish, but that is about all I think I would use it for.  As far as calling this a holographic polish, it simply is not.

Ozotic 522

I feel bad having so many ...coming soon... images on my Ozotic colour guide.  I just have to stick with wearing a different one each day and praying for sunshine.  I don't really have the time to just do swatching like I used to, and I hate applying spectacular nail polishes like these and taking them straight off.  They must be worn for at least a day each.  Well maybe not all of them (I'm talking to you crappy 527!).

No now for today's pretties. Ozotic 522. It is a dark salmon pink small particle linear holographic.  It is a similar colour to Ozotic 511, but this is a browner pink.  I'm a big fan.

Here it is indoors with only diffused light from the window.

I got an email from Picture Polish today to say they have some new Ozotic shades in stock. They are now stocking 601, 603, 623 and duochrome 752.  I already have them all (as either Ozotic or Artform) from other sources, except #623 - which looks like a black large particle linear holo (I ordered that straight away).  But this is great news for international ladies who can only get Ozotics through Picture Polish.

Ozotic 515

Hi followers, you've grown so big, where did you all come from?

I discovered today that piCture pOlish have stopped giving the Ozotic polishes additional names.  They used to list other names for all their multichromes and holographics. Examples were:
511 = Reddish
516 = Jive
518 = Flame
503 = Rainforest
502 = Sands
And then there were the dreadful Twilight (504) and Eclipse (505) names - come on, something original please.  Where did these names come from?  But the good thing is they are back to just using the regular numbers.  I usually don't like polishes referred to by numbers, but I like it for these polishes because then I can easily identify the duplicates in the Chemistry or Artform polishes.

With that said, here is beautiful number 515.  A medium aqua toned blue, small particle linear holographic.

Picture Polish only recently restocked this one, and just in time too.  I was going to grab the Chemistry version as soon as they restocked, but because the Ozotic version was in stock first, I grabbed it..  I do still have some of my Artform bottle left (swatched here), but my mum and I both love this polish and wear it quite often, so a back up is definitely warranted.

The above photo was taken indoors, with no artificial light, just a bit of light from the window, and you can still see the rainbow there on the nail.

This was three coats, no base, topped with Seche Vite.

Both this, and it's large particle twin (617) are a very beautiful pair of polishes.

Ozotic 511

Because it was raining this morning, I started to code up my Ozotic/Chemistry colour guide and realised that I still had so many colors that I had to swatch and post.  Then I got side tracked doing house work *yay* until all of a sudden the sun came out. Its meant to rain all this week, so I dropped what I was doing and starting doing my nails instead.

First on was Ozotic 511, which is a hot pink, small particle linear holo.  I have previously posted a swatch of my Artform 511, but as that bottle is half empty I bought an Ozotic version. I had to make sure they were identical, and yes they are.

Sorry, no witty chit chat tonight, in fact no dull chit chat either.  Holo spam is all you get.

Silver Holo Comparisions & Ozotic 509

With my most recent Ozotics purchased from piCture pOlish I finally got 509.  I had missed the Artform version and I was waiting for Essential Beauty to restock so I could get Chemistry 509. It was the only gap I had in my Ozotic/Artfom/Chemistry holographic collection!

509 is the Silver holo. Very sheer, but buildable.  This was three coats, no base, Seche Vite top coat.  These fine particle linear Ozotic holos are just so easy to apply, smooth, no dragging or bald patches, and you can happily apply a fast drying top coat and it wont dull the effect.

What else can make a holo better?  SUNSHINE.  For what is usually our coldest month, we have just experienced three of the most magnificent sunny day's with temps above 20 degrees.  I was actually hot outside yesterday!

I thought I would take a indoor, no artificial light picture, to show the silvery white appearance of this polish.  But as soon as any light is on around this, it rainbows up.

Ok, now a silver holo comparison to end all comparisons.  I have to say, that on my little sticks, these don't look as holoy as they do on the nail.  I know some of them look great, but others look rather crapola, but for example, take a look at the fourth from the left, that is the same polish as above. So that just shows that the sticks only give an indication of colour and holoiness.

I lined these up from left to right with small particle holos on the left and large particle or scattered holos on the right.

Now just to list these out for the search engines, from left to right:
Gosh Holographic, Nfu Oh 61, China Glaze OMG, Ozotic 509, Ozotic 514,Vintage Ozotic 509, Color Club Worth the Risque, China Glaze Sexagon, China Glaze Visit me in Prism, Milani HD and Stuf. glo glo.

Same line up, with no sun.  It was only when the sun went behind the cloud that I realised I had included two ring-ins which don't strictly belong with the silver holos.  Those two being Ozotic/Artform/Chemistry 514 (5th from left) which is actually a platinum gold, and China Glaze Visit me in Prism (4th from right) which has a mauve base.

Now some up close shots.

If anyone wants to see some comparisons on the nail, let me know.

Do you think I have enough silver holos?  It's obscene that one person should have this many, I know, but their mine I tell you. Mine. Mwahhaa haa haa haa.
